Fats & Oils
This is one thing i wish i knew when i first started out. Oils is great, that’s what i heard for many years, however. NOT ALL OF THEM. Aim for Olive Oil, Butter is great, not margarin. Coconut Oil is a good product aswell.
Protein
This one does not surprise anyone. However, since Keto is a low-carb diet, you should try and aim for the fatty steaks (Delicious), fatty fish like Salmon and Ground Beef is an excellent option because of the cheaper price. EGGS, is probably what i eat the most. Delicious, and you can do so much with it.
Dairy
My opinion is that most dairy is fine, but you shouldn’t go bananas on them since they actually contain a little bit of carbs. You should probably go for the full fat ones, seems more natural to me. Cheese is really tasty AND acceptable and will make your life easier when on Keto.
Vegetables
Vegetables is key for me on a Ketogenic diet, however. Be careful, many vegetables and actually quite carbfilled. I usually go for Mushrooms, salad, spinach and the leafy kinds. It will up the taste on your meals.
Nuts
Nuts is a lifesaver sometimes on a Ketogenic Diet. It can be used in your meals or just as a snack, it will really help you if you get some cravings.
Beverages
Here’s the part where ALOT of people go wrong, doesn’t matter which diet. Many people think that fruitbeverages is okay, but they are actually REALLY heavy on calories. I always drink water for my meals, and throughout the day. When my cravings kick in, i always have some Pepsi Max or Coke Zero at home.
